Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA) and Sorimachi Vietnam strengthen cooperation in implementing digital transformation solutions for the collective economic sector

On the morning of January 27, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance (VCA), a working session was held between the VCA and Sorimachi Vietnam Co., Ltd. to review recent cooperation results and agree on orientations and a roadmap for deploying digital transformation solutions for the cooperative and collective economic sector in the coming period.

The meeting was chaired by Ms. Cao Xuan Thu Van, President of the VCA, with the participation of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai Linh, Vice President, along with leaders of the VCA Office, the Propaganda Department, the Trade and International Cooperation Department, and the Software Implementation Task Force of the VCA, responsible for software implementation. On behalf of Sorimachi Vietnam, attendees included Mr. Tsukahara Hiroyuki, Manager based in Vietnam from the Sales Promotion Department of Sorimachi Co., Ltd.; Mr. Nguyen Thanh Mong, Director of Market Development in Vietnam; and leaders in charge of market development, software development, and customer service.

At the meeting, Sorimachi Vietnam presented an overview of the cooperation activities in 2025, focusing on the results of pilot projects and the implementation plan for the Cooperative Member Management Software, and proposing options for domain names and technical infrastructure suitable for the VCA’s practical conditions. According to a survey on the adoption of digital technology in the cooperative sector, awareness of digital transformation has been established in most cooperatives; however, it remains limited in depth and systematic implementation. The key challenge lies not in technology, but in human factors and the capability to implement.

Sorimachi Vietnam also outlined a roadmap for software adoption in cooperatives, from basic to advanced, including accounting software, production diaries, e-commerce, sales management, member–capital contribution–income distribution management, as well as inventory, materials, and machinery management. These are considered an integrated solution system, well suited to the production and business characteristics of the collective economic sector, particularly agricultural cooperatives.

Speaking at the meeting, representatives of the VCA agreed on the selection of a domain name for the Cooperative Member Management Software and the use of the VCA’s server infrastructure, ensuring security and avoiding any disruption to the operation of the official information portal. Technical options, server rental costs, bandwidth upgrades, and system optimization were discussed cautiously, with an emphasis on cost-saving, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.

Both sides aligned on a detailed implementation roadmap for 2025 – 2026, with key milestones to accelerate deployment in 2026 and the official launch time for the Cooperative Member Management Software. They also agreed to organize in-depth training programs for VCA officials and cooperatives, with clearly defined coordination units, training content, and organizational responsibilities.

The working session demonstrated strong political commitment and a high level of consensus between the VCA and Sorimachi Vietnam promoting digital transformation in the collective economic sector systematically, practically, and in a people-centered manner. This is considered an important foundation for enhancing governance capacity, improving transparency, and strengthening the competitiveness of cooperatives in the context of digital economic development and deeper international integration.
