Addressing Challenges in Advanced Agricultural Regions and Shaping the Future of Agriculture Together
Lam Dong Province is known as an advanced agricultural region in Vietnam, with a natural environment well-suited for agricultural production. Agriculture accounts for over 50% of the province’s GDP, and the province takes pride in being the leader nationwide in five key products: vegetables, flowers, coffee, tea, and dairy products.
However, challenges still persist, such as high agricultural production costs and low product quality, which result in lower prices. These issues hinder the connection between agricultural production and improving farmers’ livelihoods.

Execution Details
Sorimachi Group has proposed a solution to address these issues by implementing “Ke toan HTX” (WACA) and “Nhat ky san xuat” (FaceFarm) software, and has already started conducting surveys. In 2020, the company was selected to participate in JICA’s Small and Medium Enterprise & SDGs Support Program, conducting a basic survey on “Applying smart agriculture in agricultural cooperatives”.
Basic Survey Results
The survey was conducted at 16 agricultural cooperatives, each consisting of multiple smallholder farms. The survey aimed to identify competitive advantages over other competitors, compare prices, demonstrate the use of WACA and FaceFarm software, allow users to experience the software firsthand, and gather feedback on the software’s usability.
The results of the survey showed that, while there are still challenges such as the need for financial support to implement the software and improvements needed in post-deployment support services, the usability of the software was highly rated. This confirms that the adoption and widespread use of the software in the region is entirely feasible.
