Enhancing cooperation toward the development of agriculture between Japan and Vietnam

Sorimachi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Otemachi, Chiyoda, Tokyo; President and CEO: Sorimachi Hideki; hereinafter referred to as “Sorimachi”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Minister of Agriculture and Environment of Vietnam on September 4th at the Sixth Vietnam – Japan high-level agricultural cooperation dialogue, held at the Tokyo Prince Hotel, in the presence of ministers from both countries.

The Memorandum of Understanding signed between Sorimachi and Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment aims to establish a digital platform that supports agricultural cooperatives’ management, production, and product distribution, with the goal of contributing to the sustainable development of the agricultural sectors in both countries.

After the announcement of the Memorandum of Understanding, a presentation was held regarding efforts by both governments and private companies to build sustainable agricultural and food systems. During the presentation, Vietnam’s Minister of Agriculture and Environment Thinh introduced the public-private partnership with Sorimachi Co., Ltd.

Sorimachi will continue to apply its long-standing expertise in agricultural management and IT technologies to actively contribute to addressing global agricultural issues, in partnership with government agencies in Vietnam.
